Hubert Giziewski was born in 1982 in Warsaw. He began his education, at the age of seven, in Grazyna Bacewicz Elementary School of Music in Warsaw. Then he studied in Zenon Brzewski Music High School. In 2006 he graduated from the Frederic Chopin Academy of Music in Warsaw under direction of professor Jerzy Jurek.

Hubert Giziewski has been prize-winner of numerous accordion competitions. His most prominent achievements include awards: at Janina Garscia National Accordion Competition in Stalowa Wola (1993, 1st prize), The National Accordion Competition in Chelm (1995 – 2nd prize, 1999 – 3rd prize, 2001 – 2nd prize), The National Accordion Competition in Mlawa (2005, 2nd prize), The 2005 Ibla Grand Prize Music Competition (2005, Sicilly, Italy – prize-winner), Concorso Internazionale Città di Castelfidardo (2005 – 3rd prize, 2006 – 2nd prize).

He has been a several-time participant of the International Accordion Master Courses in Mietne (Poland), where he has studied with many internationally-recognized accordionists, including: Wlodzimierz Puchnowski, Bogdan Dowlasz, Jerzy Lukasiewicz, Jerzy Kaszuba, Fridrich Lips, Mika Väyrynen, Yuri Shishkin.

He has performed in National Philharmonic in Warsaw, Polish Radio S1 Concert Hall, Hochschule für Musik und Theater in Hannover. Together with world famous guitarist Francis Goya they performed in the Congress Hall in Warsaw, Opole Philharmony and the Music Theater in Poznan. In 2004 and 2006 he toured Japan with the Alfred Hause Tango Orchester, performing in such concert halls as: Suntory Hall and Orchard Hall in Tokyo, Sapporo Concert Hall, Yokohama Minato Mairai Hall, Fukuoka Symphony Hall. He gave also recitals in Singapore, Morocco, Bulgaria and Latvia. As a prize winner of The 2005 Ibla Grand Prize Music Competition he toured USA, performing also in Carnegie Hall in New York.

Hubert Giziewski plays on an Italian instrument “Pigini Super Bajan Sirius”.
